Kamiya Ryuen. Hand carved, single block construction, double center band soft rectangle with brown clay. This color shows off black pine bark very well. 5.4″. $300

Kamiya Ryuen, pear skin clay with cut corners, single block carved. Really nice and refined, nice smooth finish. 4.5″. $300

Kamiya Ryuen, soft rectangle with lip. Really pretty clay, 4.4″. $300

Bigei, Tokoname. Some of her best work. Quince shape with lip and landscape carving, well burnished and showing some patina. 6″. SOLD

Nakawatari(middle crossing, 1816-1911) Chinese pot, red clay. 7″ by 5″ by 1.5″. Chop is 葛明祥, Katsumeisho in Japanese, a famous pottery family whose kiln dates to the 18th century, and is renowned for work other than Bonsai pottery. Thanks to Mr. Warren for the extra info! $500

Toujaku. Unglazed, hand formed pot with stippling and carved Tanuki. I had a plan for this pot, to actually graft Shimpaku onto some old deadwood and plant it into this, that way it’s all aboveboard and labeled as a “Tanuki.”

The Gekkou is 5″ by 4″ by 1″ inside(that’s 12.5 by 10 by 2.5 cm for you guys across the pond. I thoroughly enjoy your website as well! I still refer people who contact my trying to identify European pots!
