Great Work! This will definately make these books much more usable for western readers!

Thanks for putting in the effort.

    Joe

    • japanesepots says:

Thanks Joe. It took me awhile(because my Japanese sucks!), but I think it’s worth it. I’ve had these books for years and now I’m in a place to make them useful.

  2. Sam Edge says:

Ryan just a quick question. Do you have the correct cover posted for the first book. It appears this potter key table is for the edition marked 8. It has the same bottom photo of the pots but the top picture is different. Your Book key is correct for this edition: http://bonsai.ocnk.net/product/22.

Thanks so much for doing this work. Best, Sam

      Sam,
I just took a look at the edition I used to translate, and, yes, it is different. The banner is in Green rather than red. I used a stock photo for the picture. I’ve replaced it. Thanks for reading!

  3. Javier Gutierrez says:

Excellent work. Ryan, I have discovered than in the page 60 is missing the second author.
Thank you for the great altruistic work

  4. Henry Gannett says:

Ryan, when was the second book (black cover) published? TIA

  5. Txanti says:

    Incredible work and help.
I’m willing to read the key for the Kinbon illustrated pot 3 volumes, a beautiful collection but difficult to get the names of the signatures…

Thank you for your great work!

    • japanesepots says:

      Thanks Txanti!
So much work to do! I’ll get around to translating those books soon, hopefully!
While I definitely want to create a usable and thoroughly complete resource for Westerners on all the many facets of Bonsai Pottery, I’m also easily distracted! I’ll get back to translating those pot books soon!
